So the other night Seth’s ex invited herself over to his place, got drunk and made a pass at him. He had to say, “No, never, ever again will we be together. Now stay away until you can respect my boundaries.” Then he emailed me about it, writing “I want you to know that I will always be honest with you, and let you know what is going on with me.”
To be clear, Seth’s been keeping his distance, and she’s been initiating contact. I can’t really judge her too harshly since I’ve felt the same impulses (although in my most recent situation, I managed to not act on them), but I am still relieved that she pulled her punch, got shot down, and I don’t have to fret about it any longer.

I was trying to find the post where I wrote that I wasn’t going to talk to xb since he was in a relationship and since my feelings weren’t / aren’t strictly friendship feelings it would be disrespectful to his current partner if I interacted with him (as far as I’m concerned) and I couldn’t find it. But that’s what I did, anyway, which is probably what Seth’s x should have done.
